Whether we are on a camping trip or stuck in the middle of the forest because our GPS took us the wrong way, this handy survival tip might just come in handy when we need it the most. Here is how to make a portable stove with a popcan:

Materials needed:

  • pop can
  • scissors/knife
  • sand paper
  • coat hanger
  • fiber glass

Natural alcohol/Heat (this may be purchased at your local pharmacy)

note: 1 oz of fuel will burn for approx. 9 minutes. 2 cups of water will come to a rolling boil under 6 minutes. Measured burning time is with a pan on top of stove. The fuel will burn out faster without a pan.
