Hero3

(TruthSeekerDaily)  While working at his auto repair shop in Georgia, a man made a startling discovery along side the nearby highway.  The repairman was stunned to see a baby crawling on the side of highway 72, seemingly unscathed.

Bryant Collins, a resident of Madison County, Ga., is now being hailed a hero in his town and accross the country as word spreads about the rescue he made of this baby girl.

“I just stopped and, when I got out, there was a baby … almost in the highway.” says Collins of the sighting.

The unnamed infant, had apparently crawled from her parents’ house, trudged through 300 yards of woods, and almost made it on to the highway when Collins spotted her.  The Good Samaritan instantly reacted, coming to her rescue when he scooped her up in his arms before tragedy could hit.

“Honestly that’s almost a miracle,” the sheriff Kip Thomas remarked, “that a 15-month-old can go that far from her house, into the woods, fall down an embankment, wind up near a major highway, and really not get hurt that bad.”

In the two hours that it took for police to arrive on the scene and determine who the child’s parents are, Collins stayed with the baby, making sure she stayed safe and felt comforted.

Collins is living a different life today after a rocky road that racked up a criminal record.

“I did ten years in the federal institution for manufacturing cocaine,” said Collins of his past. “When I was in prison, I made a very conscientious effort to change, and I did.”

It is clear that this ex-convict has more than reformed himself, and is now an upstanding (baby-saving) citizen of Madison County, Ga.  As for the baby’s family, police have arrested the baby’s father, and are considering placing the mother under arrest as well.

Collins is a great example of transforming the good to the bad and not being kept down by our past mistakes.  We’re all capable of change and you never know who’s hero you’ll be after becoming a better person.
