(TruthSeekerDaily) The Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System stretches across five square miles of federal land near the Cali-Nevada border.

Imagine this: Five square miles; 300k, Seven-foot-by-ten-foot computer-controlled mirrors; the shiny, reflective horizon broken up by numerous 459-foot water towers. The water that is pumped through these towers is converted into steam by the pooling solar rays, and that steam powers turbines which provide clean electricity for the masses.

From the official news release:

The Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System is now operational and delivering solar electricity to California customers. At full capacity, the facility’s trio of 450-foot high towers produces a gross total of 392 megawatts (MW) of solar power, enough electricity to provide 140,000 California homes with clean energy and avoid 400,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year, equal to removing 72,000 vehicles off the road.

And the best part about a Solar Energy plant potentially breaking down? No nuclear holocaust.
