(TruthSeekerDaily) There is a massive variety of mushrooms in our ecosystem, each one as diverse on their own as the entire animal kingdom. However, many of us have never seen them like this. Although nature photography usually focuses on other larger objects, we often miss the beauty and diversity that mushrooms have to offer. One photographer, Steve Axford, is putting the ‘fun’ in fungi with his incredible photography. Through it, he provides us with a whole new appreciation as seen in the visual discoveries he shares with his devoted online followers.
Axford lives in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales in Australia, but he travels all around the world, capturing photos of rare animals, plants, and many different diverse people that he meets. What he loves photographing most, however, are fungi, many of which are so rare that they’ve never been photographed before – at least not in such an inspiring and artistic way. Enjoy!
These artistic photos curated for you here is just a small sampling of Axford’s work, but provides a great appreciation for what could be underfoot on your next forest walk. It goes to show that the beauty is in the details and it’s amazing what we see when we look a little closer and with eyes that desire to discover.
