(TruthSeekerDaily)  There are many important social issues we’re faced with in our world today that without the action of concerned citizens to enact change, could contribute to the decline of many aspect of life as we know it.

Although ads tend to sell a product and promote consumerism, the ads featured here have a positive purpose, and make a big impact.  The root of the reason for these campaigns is to draw attention to issues that many may never be aware of otherwise.  These effective advertising strategies for social concerns do just that and their voices are certainly being heard.

A well-made advertisement is designed to grab your attention and to remain in your memory long after you’ve left it behind, which is exactly what many of these social causes need. Getting people to think and worry about various social and environmental issues (or even simply getting them to be aware of them) is important for raising public support.  A few of these ads are, in fact, commercial ads, but it’s still nice that they champion socially or environmentally aware causes/products.

Oftentimes ads need to portray more than just the facts to convey the needed message and be effective.  Although the facts are certainly relevant, alone they are not enough.  The second component is to appeal to the observer’s emotions.  Multiple studies indicate that emotion can have a powerful effect on memory formation, ensuring that memories with emotion will last longer than those without.
